audience included Danny Basile '97, J.T. Dolan '02,

Earlier in the day, ESPN2 announcers interviewed Rik
Smits as they made their first visit to the McCann
Center for a nationwide broadcast of the Marist men's
basketball game against Manhattan College.
After the alumni game, Rik Smits gave autographs to
several hundred children who offered their programs,
their shoes and even their arms for him to sign. That
same day the Red Foxes had hosted NCAAŽ Basketball's
annual Take a Kid to the GameŽ program, in which
kids aged 18 and younger received a free ticket with
the purchase of a full-priced adult ticket to watch
the Red Foxes.
